The Pasture

Before the mansions and the University of California, some of La Jolla’s open space used to be farmland.  If you look at historical photos, you’ll see cows lounging at La Jolla Shores.  The photo I took is reminiscent of what La Jolla used to be: pure open space and a balanced harmony between land and water. Today, this parcel is the property of the Regents of the University of California.

The Pasture

The Pasture: one of the few parcels of open space left in La Jolla.

This is re-blogged from my other site  Eat ‘n Drink La Jolla.  I haven’t figured out how to keep the photo in a re-blog
